See what our patients have to say!
I have never enjoyed going to the dentist before discovering the Dental Spa and Dr Mehdian, and her friendly staff. I hadn’t had dental coverage in many years so there was a lot of work to be done, which could’ve been unpleasant. But they put me right at ease. And the gorgeous views from the chair of False Creek, downtown and the mountains beyond definitely didn’t hurt. Highly recommended!
I recently had a great experience with Dr. Parisa. Her and her staff not only did a very thorough job but made me feel very comfortable and went over all things I should expect before my procedure was done. One thing I noticed was how clean her office is which really stood out to me, and her staff was very friendly. I will be referring friends and family over to her!
Dr. Mehdian is the definition of precision dentistry. She is extremely patient and detailed oriented, and as a result made my experience, a truly satisfying day. I do recommend Vancouver Dental Spa. Many Thanks to her and the rest of the staff who helped me with my dental needs 😊
Emergency Dental Care
You never know when something awful and unexpected will occur in your life when it comes to your teeth, gums, or mouth. We are ready when you aren’t, and can quickly fix whatever situation you are faced to deal with effectively, comfortably, and compassionately. Don’t put off a pressing issue, whether it be a toothache, a tooth that got knocked out, a broken or chipped tooth, soft tissue damage, a fractured or cracked tooth, or a lost filling or crown. Contact us ASAP so that we can assess the situation, and return you to normalcy as quickly as possible.
Oral Hygiene and Preventative Care
Oral health success comes from regular checkups, cleanings, and maintaining a strong at home hygiene routine. Brushing at minimum twice per day and flossing daily is where preventative care starts. Two or three professional cleanings per year are also key to provide a more detailed cleaning, and to provide further preventative measures.
Metal Free Composite Fillings
Our dental fillings are made from the highest quality composite material, and are designed to natively blend into whatever specific colour your teeth may be. When a cavity happens and threatens to cause even more damage, we are there to remove it and fill it in with a lasting composite filling that makes the tooth look like a cavity never happened in the first place. We also remove any old silver fillings that are a threat to your overall dental health, and replace them with new composite ones which will prevent potential future problems.
Crown and Bridge
These dental restorations are effective to replace missing teeth and repair damaged ones. A crown helps to restore the function of a severely damaged tooth, and when done right look almost identical to the original tooth. They are used in all sorts of situations, from restoring a broken tooth, to holding a bridge in place, to after a root canal. A bridge is used to fill in gaps left by missing teeth, and are permanently attached to the adjacent teeth.
Root Canal Therapy
This procedure needs to be done when an infection occurs, and so to relieve the pain due to pressure and fix the issue, the infected material is removed by making a small opening through the biting surface of the tooth. The treated tooth is weakened as a result, and a crown is then typically recommended to prevent it from fracturing.
Missing teeth are replaced by dental implants, these being artificial tooth roots. They act as a foundation for crowns or bridges which replace missing teeth. Titanium is the material used for a dental implant, and the post is directly embedded into the jawbone. These implants are durable, and do not need any support from nearby teeth. Because surgery is necessary to receive dental implants, a patient should be in good general and oral health to get this treatment.
Excessive gum tissue is an issue that makes teeth look shorter than they actually are, and results in a gummy looking smile. We perform aesthetic gum recontouring, which is a minimally invasive laser surgery that removes excess tissue, and sculpts the gum line to provide a healthy balance between gum and teeth in the smile.
Wisdom teeth are normally the last teeth to appear in a mouth, and as a result, an inadequate amount of space is left for them to grow in properly. All sorts of issues throughout the mouth can result due to them growing in, and they need to be removed to avoid serious complications. We always do our very best to always save a natural tooth, but if significant damage has occurred for whatever reason and the best course of action is to remove a tooth, then we will move forward with that procedure. From there, we then replace that lost tooth so that all surrounding teeth stay in their current positions within the mouth.
Mouth and Night Guards
A night guard may be recommended if you grind or clench your teeth while sleeping, or if you have a TMJ disorder. Night guards are custom made and fitted to your teeth to eliminate any associated pain you may have, to keep your teeth in good physical condition, and to take preventative measures from other problems arising. A mouth guard can be beneficial when playing sports or doing other physical activities, if grinding or clenching is an issue. They are designed and custom made, much like how night guards are.
